| "The Alien Deep" minicomic | Inhabit issue one |
Inhabit is an SF series for all ages featuring kids who, using their special psychic abilities, operate robot Drones to carry out tasks too hazardous for normal humans. Adventures include exploration, rescue, meeting with exotic aliens, training, high-speed races and the occasional drama surrounding alien enemies of humanity.
Inhabit takes place in a classic SF universe. Our heroes are citizens of the Terran Coalition, one of many governments of known space. Spacecraft connect the stars, moving faster than light and defying gravity courtesy of their RF drives. There are all manner of worlds out there, both exotic and hostile, and the adventurous crew of the Spasa brave them all.
Inhabit tells the tale of the Anada Rescue and Exploration Corporation, AREC. Traveling in their ship, the Spasa, the people of AREC are robust adventurers, taking on all manner of contracts, allowing all kinds of stories. There are few adults on the Spasa, just enough to crew it, and a collection of kids, the only ones able to psychically pilot the Drones that do all the dangerous grunt work. Principal characters include:
Nancy, called Nan for short, is one of two crew leaders on the Spasa. She's a little bit more serious than everyone else, both because she's a team leader, and because she's approaching her "retirement age" - adulthood.
Nancy is pictured with a Worker Drone.
Geoffrey, the other team leader, is competitive and light-hearted. He may not be the best Pilot around, but he's a creative thinker, which is why Captain Anada put him in charge.

Michael is a quick and clever Pilot, but prone to taking needless risks. Usually all smiles, Michael prefers lounging around to real work any day.

Becky, one of the youngest Pilots, is new to the world of commercial Drone operation. As such, she's still prone to feeling hurt if a Drone is damaged, and reacts badly in danger situations. She's fun loving, but always attentive to the people around her.

Jared Anada is the owner of AREC and the captain of the Spasa. A true gentleman of adventure, he'd never accept a desk job just managing his company when he could be in the thick of things instead. Though he keeps quiet about his danger-filled past, Anada acts like a father to the kids in his employ, making sure they don't get into too much trouble.
Anada, being an adult, is unable to Pilot a Drone. He is, however, Captain of the Spasa.
Now that you've met the human cast, it's time to go to the second page, and see some of the technology of Inhabit.
